Bravo, that's the first plausible explanation I've heard.

I actually know someone with a cross-dominant eye, and they shoot exactly as you've described.

But he still punches right handed... I thought.... meh.

My simple explanations, who cares, if it looks good on the weapon, do it. I tested this online on a server, no one mentioned the hands at all.
