Changing Classes in Hexen coop game

How do I choose player classes in Hexen in a network game? I pt "+PLAYERCLASS RANDOM" in the command line, but we all start as the fighter no matter what. How do I choose player class? Do Each of us need to put +PLAYERCLASS RANDOM?

Goto Player Settings and set the class.
