Plutonia is great. Much better than Doom 2. But is quite hard and I don't know if you like that.

ACtually, IMO DOOM2 levels just sucked. They sucked horribly, they have noticable flaws with the texturing. I prefer UDoom over them all becuase a lot of thought was put into the levels and I can always run trough on UV mode and still have fun :D

Plus, no annoying as hell revrants.

I loved the original doom2.wad. The maps were quite sucky at times but I guess that's called "sentimental value" or something :)
Doom 2 was the first Doom-engine game I saw and later played. So I must be biased. Ultimate Doom also owns me a lot. I can never get tird of running Episode 1. And when I really don't know what to do, I launch doom2.wad and start running the first 5 or 6 maps on UV until I get bored out of my skull :D

Plutonia is the best wad out there full stop. If you like fast, hard maps that look and feel good, that is.

If you like that then you'd surely like Fragport then... (given that a lot of the gameplay ideas came from Plutonia)

Pfft, Plutonia is easy, especially on Nightmare!

Now if you want a real challenge, try playing E1 on skill 1... MAN that's tough... Those guys with the green hair are killer.

You n00b. You haven't SEEN tough until you've tried E1 on skill 1 with the -nomonsters parameter and the iddqd cheat enabled. I'm telling you, THAT'S some fierce action!

Best action I ever saw was when I created a square sector (or subsector, I forgot, but I don't care) and tested it...

Sadly, it didn't, but imagine if it did... could make a level where the player runs into the walls, the walls fall down and you see all these green lines to indicate cyberspace or something, then the player realises that he is just a computor game charector... what a sad story :-(.
