Are there any ports of DooM that allow you to play over a Null Modem and can run it DOS?

I think most ports dropped Null Modem capabilities when they were made. The reason being, the Doom code never supported Null Modems. That was all sersetup.exe(which basically just made a network between the computers, and Doom used that). You could try running any DOS-compatible port with sersetup.exe, though I'd imagine they'd die horribly(I have no experience with this, however). You should be able to use Null Modems in Windows-compatible ports(maybe even DOS ports, just as long as they can run in Windows) without much problem, however.

BOOM and any DOS ports based on it will probably work with sersetup.exe. You might need to rename boom.exe to doom.exe or doom2.exe, though.
