Randy probably won't be emulating the scripting system. It will be up to us to emulate the workings of the levels and their scripting, building off of as much built-in Strife support as Randy is willing to give.

Hopefully he'll be able to emulate the actors, though. He already has done a bunch of stationary/decorative stuff, and I was thinking maybe the monsters could be dehacked, but some of them are just too complex in their behavior for dehacked.

Good, I'll be expecting ZStrife v0.1 by the end of the month.

Heh, dont hold your breath. I can probably get my head around the weapon and enemy behaviour (after a while...) but I dont know about that script stuff.

But Janis Legzdinsh, creator of Vavoom may know a thing or two...

^ I hope that isnt habit forming...

HotWax: You can't use the word ZStrife! It's a trademark! It's mine! MINE!!!

"It's been called that before, but not by you."
"Bah, what business is it of yours what I do with my own things?!"

I believe that if you were to look way back in the ZDoom phorums I was the first to use the term and first to come up with the idea of emulating Strife in ZDoom using DeHacked and converting stuff. So there. :P

Strife will take too long, I say the new renderer with 32bpp support etc :P

Maybe working on strife support would be unfair on people who dont have strife - its not the easiest game to get a hold of. Thats exactly why it should be subcontracted to someone else!

No they don't... aparently you can buy it from some crappy website... so it's only available to people who live in america... I think...

Unfortunately I don't live in america, but I do have a version of strife that was on Underdogs :-D. Anyone know where I can get the game Eradicator from? I've looked everywhere but can't find it...
