When I click on a MAP01 in XWE it gives me an error.

Works for me, but its questionably useful. I mean, its a lump editor first and foremost, so I dont see why anyone would feel the need to turn it into a map editor as well. A map previewer would have been fine.

But I can't preveiew maps... I would never DREAM of editing doom maps with it, it seems quite a crude method.

Baldy: Is the error something about menu index out of range?

Nope, 1.11 works fine for me.

Probably nothing to do with XWE and instead some other support DLL that you may have updated without knowing it. XWE is a PASCAL program.

Heh, well back on topic anyway, here's version 0.6 of Lumpy. Not much new, but here's a list anyway:

- Added map preview
- Added option to import contents of a folder
- Fixed some issues with trying to import a lump when no wadfile is open.

Probably a few other little fixes I've forgotten to mention too. As for the map preview, trying to preview hexen format maps will crash it at the moment. Anyone know where I can get the Hexen map format specs?

Oh and cancelling certain functions can cause some crazy stuff to happen, same with creating a 'new' wad that writes over another. These are kinda minor though, so I'll fix them when I get around to it.

the hexen specs of course, check around 3darchives, or google for 'hexen specs' should do it

it's actually really easy to add hexen map support to a util, you just need to expand the linedef and thing structures a bit, and then run a check for the behavior lump when a map is loaded, everything else remains the same

Hexspecs.doc comes with the Zdoom editing utils IIRC.

Hmm, ok. After adding Hexen map support I'll move on to gfx viewing I think, and maybe even MIDI playback. Heh, I think I'll make my own MIDI editor one day too.
