Secrets of mapping for dummy

Post by Apeirogon »

I now try to transfer one game, moslty maps, from it origin 2.5 D reality to gzdoom (pseudo)3 D.
Spoiler:
This game have map editor and I have friend which can rip resources from it, so I have all textures and picture of what I must draw in gzdoom builder.
Now I draw shape of all maps in raw quality (just vertixes, sectors and lines with default doom textures). But after I edit one map to its more or less acceptable quality, it looks like...emmm "creation of human which start to do something, which he cant do right".

Is that something with me, or "mapping" maps isnt that easy, like "drop some verixes on plane, and you have a map"?
