Last year I elaborated on that the game Heavy Weapon Deluxe was a disappointment in aspects of gameplay. While it's not a horribly bad software, it is plagued with serious flaws. Thankfully, it does contain useful resources here and there, and I believe our little community could use said resources much better than that game, for instance, the skies.
The backgrounds of this game were easy to rip, but pretty hard to make usable. You see, the game uses 3 different layers for the skies, and they scroll with different speed, so welding them together to retain to good look was a challenge. Scenery were also independent images, and some of them weren't even usable, but thankfully I could use some of them. These skies were saved separately. After a few hours of tinkering, I could also make sure all skies are seamless horizontally. Here is what you can choose from:
- Desert (Antagonistan)
- Coast (Blastnya)
- Temperate forest with nuclear plant (Dictastroika)
- Icy glaciers and snow (Frigistan)
- Metropolis (Killingrad)
- Coniferous forest with oil refinery (Petrovakia)
- Military base (Red Star HQ)
- Leveled city (Survivalist mode)
- Dark spooky evil land (Tankylvania)
- Wasteland (Vodkavania)
- Tropical (Zamblamia)
