Sarge could easily do first person glory kills in BD without this. It would be as simple as playing an animation of some HUD sprites. Basically exactly like a weapon state in decorate displays frames. With the proper sprites even I could do it.DoomKrakken wrote:

great work, but i think doom 4 doomguy's hand is not that ragged also brightly green.

UPDATE v1.2:
- Added grenade world sprites. I haven't done hud sprites for grenades because you don't really see grenades behave like the other weapons in DOOM; you just see the doomguy hurl one through the air.

I never intended them to be ragged. Those orange parts are suppose to be the layer underneath the green exoskeleton like suit that D4 DoomGuy wears.great work, but i think doom 4 doomguy's hand is not that ragged also brightly green.

Doesn't matter anymore. Here is another updated attempt. I have manually added inner exoskeleton portions, but its needs better segmentation.

I am currently in the process of producing attachment sprites for some of the weapons. This will include:
Machine gun - scope and micro missile (with animations)
Shotgun - 3 shot burst
Plasma Rifle - heat blast
Gauss Cannon - big shot (can't remember the name of the attachment in-game WIP)
Chain gun - mini turret (going to see see how it turns out first WIP)

With the micro missile attachment for the Machine Gun in this animation, the entire rocket segments actually fly out of the canister, whereas in the new DOOM game, the back of the missiles stay in the canister. Would people prefer the rear of each rocket to fly out of the canister like in this animation, or would you prefer the rear segments remain in the canister?

i prefer the canisters stay in the pod, or else the launched canisters could hit the player in the chest. or in the face.
and if the canisters actually disappears when missiles are fired while making the flash like in that animation, that would be weird. or making me consider it's made out of over-technological teleporting science.

Hmm, not sure but maybe make the whole thing fly out? Don't know how that would look though (or if it would look any good). Otherwise I'd say leave them in.
