Yeah, it's my first hand-drawn weapon.
EDIT: I may add some more hands to that really large master sheet, as I see fit. If anybody has any more hands they'd like to post, feel free. Also, editing the first post with the Master Hand Sheet wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Also, I've been fiddling with Brutal Doom's "middle finger" sprite. It's hard recoloring a black glove when you're not using a palette.

glory. I should be so ashamed.
Anyway, I've gotten around to updating the sheet. I ripped all of the hands from Demon Eclipse, including the tediously extracted pistol hands. I've also hand-ripped the Strife hands, putting in some edited pistol hands I found and the hands from the Thrasher sheet. Enjoy. (I might also add that I painstakingly de-flamed the cleric hands on the Hexen section of the sheet.)

EDIT: Link edited to include some new sword swinging hands and an extended cleric hand.

I'm talking about the highlight oversaturation, or however you'd call it.
Imagine taking a picture of something dark in broad daylight with a normal camera, if you manage to wrestle it into taking the dark part properly, everything else will be way too bright.

Eh, I think I fudged it up enough. Also made use of the arm on my reload hand.

Actually, I was pointing out that certain hands (pistol hand, pipebomb hand) apparently have the light source
behind them, leading to large blotches of dark (and of course, the bright-as-hell outlines).
EDIT: Reshaped the glove wrinkles on the wrist to make the arm look less flat. Silly Doom pistol hand...

Edit: I sure am nitpicky, I went through something like 10 additions to the original finger fix.

Thanks; it really needed that after all the "corrections" I made. It's difficult trying to make a decent contrast that is neither to cartoony nor too bland.
And then I decided to brighten the highlights a little and put the sprite in paletted form (with more tweaking afterwards):
GraphicsGale does pretty good at converting truecolor images to a palette, granted the existing color scheme is similar enough.

Ah, that looks nice. It did need that after all. I'll put it on the Master Hand Sheet when I get around to it.
