  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Luckily though, you probably won't notice these things in game anyway unless you're truly THAT picky.

Ryan Cordell posted a Strife-hands resource with a contribution or two from me in the WIP thread. Anybody care to fish that out?

Here's a couple I did make, though. Credits go to whoever made that gloved fist.

I think it'd be pretty cool if we made a full set of some un-gloved doom guy hands. Like, with the ring on and everything.
From the Top, 1st image:
Dunno
Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve
Eriance, Eriance, Scuba Steve (via a palette mangler), Scuba Steve (via a palette mangler)
Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Dunno

Scuba also made the gloved Doom fist.

That hand on the second row, all the way on the right is mine. The palette problem is because those hands were taken from The Stranger by WildWeasel. You can find those hands without the issue on the first sheet and the sheet I posted, respectively :P

There are a set of sword swinging hands on the new Vorpal Blade from DE. Not sure if that's gonna be of any use in Doom, though. :?

Just because they're ancient, doesn't mean that the doomguy doesn't use swords! :P

Doom needs more swords. I'm playing through PsychoPhobia and there's a sword in it. Quite fun, despite the fact his hands change for almost every single weapon.

If it helps, I've compiled all the ones posted so far in this thread into this image. (It's quite big, so spoilered:)
Spoiler:
I'm sure there's tons more out there. Can't be bothered to plough through the hundreds of sprite sheets posted on this forum, though, so it would be heavily appreciated if you guys posted more of these right here! The new ones are definitely awesome! :D

Oh yeah! I used those for my first weapon's mod (that I actually released). Those hands were much needed, I found.

Second most badass gloves. The fist is an edit from the normal doomguy's, all others were ripped directly from the HACX wad with the weapon edited out.

I hope by "second" you mean "first". :P

Nice job on the fist sprites, by the way!

The Fighter's are # 1 to me. I doubt gloves get anymore badass than those heavy iron face-mashers. :P

Thanks, if I find the time for it I might put these on all of the doom hands.
