[Weapons] Little known FPS weapons

Post by Reactor »

After months of hard work, I'm finally done with 10 different tastefully made weapons from various obscure FPS games, mostly from Fugitive Hunter (it's a PS2 game originally, but it DOES have a PC version, which is unimaginibly hard to obtain) and Stalin Subway (Buka Entertainment). None of their files could be opened wit' anything, so I had to do it the hard way, but after countless tries and re-recordings, eventually I succeeded. Since all of these are hard rips, I had to remove the shitcrap manually from each image, including the HUD graphics, as the game setup didn't offer a possibility to hide the crosshair and HUD. IMHO the results became remarkable, absolutely remarkable. Some of these shall be used in Tristania 2, but of course if you wish to use'em in your mods, by all means do so. In case you couldn't extract the GIFs, of course I can upload the HUD frame collection in ZIP archives.

Some of the animations are too large to fit in here, I'll give you the link for those.

Backstab 128.5 - A 9mm pistol with adequate firepower, FireScape product. It had a fancy animation after reloading, but if you really need the original one, I can re-record those frames.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... 6NGRUn5bVg

Animation: http://imgur.com/htC009a.gif

PAMR Sniper rifle - 14mm sniper rifle, which retains the deadly capabilities of the Stealth rifle from Tristania3D. Both are FireScape weapons.

Animation: http://imgur.com/HPBz35S.gif

Prism rifle - A very heavily edited P90 it was, this is from the notoriously bad game "Sniper: Path of Vengeance". This was the hardest gun to create, I had to re-process frames countless times for the fluent crystal prism animation and the transculent prism at reloading. The Prism rifle itself is a light-based shotgun, loosely based on the allied Prism technology and uses crystal prisms as ammunition. This weapon is created by the Zicca Corporation, Norway.

The Prism rifle is also issued with a medium-ranged scope, which can see thru the thickest darkness, increasing its effectiveness. The weapon itself can also be used as an everlasting flashlight, even if the prism inside became too opaque to shoot with, and the ammo indicator is on 0.

Animation: http://imgur.com/mYrikv7.gif

Pulsar rifle - Another Zicca creation. The pulsar rifle is the energy-based equivalent for the Sabrine MK3 series developed by FireScape. Of course, it has much greater firepower as it feeds on energy rather than bullets - more than twice of a standard issue 9mm shot, to be exact, and it is effective against both infantry and heavily armored targets. Neutron blast capacity for this weapon is enough for 25 shots.

Albeit the Pulsar rifle seems to have been fitted with a scope, it is in fact a neutron charger. Using the secondary fire button, the gun can unleash a powerful Hyper Pulse blast, if the gun has at least 15 measures of energy left. Keep your distance well - the Hyper Pulse knows no mercy upon impact.

Animation: https://imgur.com/CiwXbMP.gif

Rapier - Ahh yes, the good old "super shotgun". Every weapons manufacturing corporation has its own model for it. This one is created by FireScape.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... Xe3Ae1cTDw

Animation: http://imgur.com/yBnRtlu.gif

RPG-7 - So far I haven't seen this addition to the Doom/ZDoom/GZDoom armory anywhere, so I decided to give it a shot. Be warned however, the animation uses all four sides of the screen, so I have no idea how to make this appear just right. Well, no matter...

Animation: http://imgur.com/S3644ke.gif

Sabrine MK4 - The next generation of Sabrine MK machineguns by FireScape, this one is based on the M4 machinegun. It uses 12,6mm high caliber ammunition though, just like the earlier MK3 models.

This weapon model is also issued with a medium-ranged scope for better accuracy. The earlier MK3 and MK2 variants had none.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... 5RDsnpZzCQ

Animation: http://imgur.com/RFgSDyo.gif

SPAR - Despite its name, it's not an assault rifle, but rather a 9mm submachine gun, loosely based on an AK, but it's much smaller and more compact. Its fire speed is also increased, but as you can expect, it's a tad less accurate.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... uqm7SLAkEQ

Animation: http://imgur.com/MlSKmsf.gif

Thermal Shok Launcher - This neat little toy is Zicca's variant for a grenade launcher. Its projectiles, however, release an extreme wave of coldness around, causing severe shock and hypothermia. The Thermal Shok bombs imminently explode upon hitting any surface or obstacle. Do not be near and get yourself thermal-shocked.

The Thermal Shok Launcher can be an extremely useful weapon in hot situations - its shots can extinguish orange flames and temporarily freeze the top layer of hot molten lava, creating safe passage across the menacingly bubbling magma.
This weapon also owns a special targeting system - a thermoscope - which can detect hostile entities by the body warmth they emit. It also means, however, the thermoscope is useless for locating undead, non-living enemies or machines.

Animation: http://imgur.com/unOzS6T.gif

Zicca Flamethrower - One of the very few "standard" weapons Zicca has developed in the earlier years. The gas canister is on its top, making it less heavy and more compact.

Tell me which ones are problematic, I'll attempt a re-upload to somewhere else if Postimage doesn't work.

The only ones that work for me are the PAMR Sniper rifle and the Rapier.

Every link in this thread works for me... But for few images I have to click on "show picture" because it redirects.

Yea, some sites will do that if the HTTP_REFERRER isn't their own site, or HTTP_USER_AGENT isn't a mobile one.

I suggest, and always suggest imgur as an image host.

Good idea. I'll move all the animations once I'm done with the next ten weapons. Currently the CA-MG is in progress, it won't be long now.

UPDATE: Several new weapons added, animations moved to imgur.

Baton - Can be a baton, can be a broken handle of a mop, and technically anything. It's a melee weapon.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... D-WzH0KMDA

Animation: http://imgur.com/10iyCdy.gif

CA-MG - A FireScape product, this machinegun is a crossbreed between the UZI and the Mac, Sgt. Shivers' two favourite toys. It holds 50 pieces of 9mm ammunition, but as you can expect, it's just as inaccurate that the two guns mentioned earlier, but its fire stream is frighteningly fast. CA-MG is the base of many automated turrets and gun enplacements.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XzpO1d ... sp=sharing

Animation: http://imgur.com/2QhCUYO.gif

Kruger - The "Freddy" Kruger is an assault rifle with medium fire speed, using 9mm standard issue rounds. It is, however, very accurate and rarely misses, every evil demon from Hell gets a warm welcome from it. In fact, the Kruger rifle was also used in GTA Vice City.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x6G1gY ... sp=sharing

Animation: http://imgur.com/5Y3n9QG.gif

Hand greande - Just an average frag grenade.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... -KWnZab5dw

Animation: http://imgur.com/533w3q4.gif

Magnum - A well-known handgun with heavy firepower. It's reload time, however, is mighty long.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... fMs1Et6xGg

Animation: http://imgur.com/hi0qGNR.gif

Merkov - This Russian type shotgun is pretty similar to the Quake 4 shotgun in the aspect that it can hold 10 shells. Just like the Doom shotgun, it shoots seven pellets, but in a narrow, spread formation, not horizontally. It takes a while to reload.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FOa8wO ... sp=sharing

Animation: http://imgur.com/0rGoAQ6.gif

PCV Advanced - This 9mm pistol was already featured in Tristania3D. Its advanced version is more accurate, the reload time is also a tad shorter (but still longer than the Backstab's). Before the FireScape developed the Backstab-series of pistols, PCV was their renowned trademark.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... Lz8lj1mpgQ

Animation: http://imgur.com/1sI294H.gif

Sabrine MK2 - An early product of FireScape. The Sabrine MK2 is a light machine pistol usin' 9mm rounds. Its fire stream is slower than the CA-MG, yet, it is more accurate. Since the development of the high caliber MK3 and MK4, it slowly became obsolete.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... Rrmy9ZEy0A

Animation: http://imgur.com/UuGrgYh.gif

Sabrine MK3 - A step beyond low caliber armaments, the Sabrine MK3 assault rifle combines heavy firepower with good accuracy for massive damage (it was used in Tristania3D as well). Its fire stream is limited to 2 shots per second, although its reloading time is approximately the same to the earlier MK2 variant.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... 6NXEpwU1Xg

Animation: http://imgur.com/XU3zoTp.gif

Suleu - This is a 9mm submachinegun constructed in Poland. Its fire stream competes with the CA-MG (and so does its inaccuracy), and it has a built-in flashlight on the front.

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3QNHp ... fmzY-nwDag

Animation: http://imgur.com/M062Eif.gif

Trance-am - Many of you complained how the Duke Nukem shotgun is re-used again and again, so here is a single barreled boomstick for you to use. Its gun barrel is quite elaborate, it's so shiny. BTW it is also manufactured by FireScape.

I will say that these weapons look really cool. My only complaint is that you only supplied GIFs, and I personally don't have access to the tools needed to extract the individual frames from them (and the limit of 256 colors doesn't help much either- especially since ZDoom supports true color on HUD graphics). If you could package the frames in a zip file, that'd be awesome. (Individual archives for the individual weapons would be even better, but either will do just fine.)

It's no problem, as I said, if someone needs the PNG collection of a certain weapon, I'm more than happy to upload it. The GIF animations are just moving samples of what someone could expect. Which one would you like?

I'm mostly interested in the Trance-am, the Magnum, the Prism Rifle, and the Pulsar Rifle, and especially the Prism Rifle because I'm a sucker for cool-looking energy weapons.

Very well, here they are, uploaded to Zippy. The folders contain only the HUD pictures, so if you need sounds or a pickup sprite, I'll upload them as well.

http://www17.zippyshare.com/v/74096626/file.html

Prism rifle - mind that this weapon is meant to be animated while its idle (so when you're not shooting with it), so the frames entitled "Prism01-Prism07" is its idle animation. Frames with letter "F" are firing, frames with "R" are reloading. Of course if you don't want your idle Prism rifle to be animated, you can just choose one from the 7 idle frames and call it a day.

Trance-am - Idle frame is "Trance01", shooting is "Trance02-Trance19", the rest of them are reloading frames.

Pulsar rifle - Idle frame is "Pulsar01", shooting is "Pulsar02-Pulsar10", the rest is the reloading.

Sounds and pickup sprites would be nice, yes. No rush, though- I'll probably be taking a little while to assemble the sprites into usable weapons anyway.
