Better but the directions are off, ;p
One layer goes up or down, while the other layer goes left or right as if they are Cris crossing ( + ), you have yours going left while the layer under it goes right ( <--> )

If you want I can upload all the liquids. I have them finished and ready on my hard drive.

No need, I didn't make this because you offered to pay for it. I made it because I wanted to. After all, this is just a hobby.
I'm just glad that I could be of help.

It's a really nice effect isn't it? It actually gives the impression of a bit of depth to the water.
Also, I noticed that the texture definitions were generated in SLADE3. Was this something that was somehow automated or did the whole thing have to be done manually and then exported from SLADE?

Very nice Blue Shadow, one minor issue though... in some frames, the 2 layers perfectly superimpose each other so it makes the animation look weird. It's hard to explain; just stare at the animation and you'll know what I mean.

The first set (water) took a little bit of effort; 64 texture definitions with different numbering and offsets. However, for the other liquids, not so much. As all was needed was assembling the graphics for the liquids, some copy-paste and find-and-replace magic for the definitions.
If I'm understanding your point, I think that's because the two layers, that are actually the same graphic, at some point are bound to overlap each other perfectly, thus creating what you'd described. I, myself, noticed this, but didn't do anything about it at the time, since it's also the case in Doom 64 and I kind of like the effect.Nash wrote:..., one minor issue though... in some frames, the 2 layers perfectly superimpose each other so it makes the animation look weird

Yeah, the fixed version looks better for me. :D I'm probably just being nitpicky. But the perfect overlap effect as in the original (and Doom 64's) really grab my attention haha.
Good job! This is going into my autoload. Thanks for this Blue Shadow.

Sorry for the silly question but how do I use this? I tried dragging the zip onto a shortcut and onto ZDL but the water looks just the same...? Sorry if this is stupid.

These weren't set up to replace the IWAD's liquids, but they can be.
Here, replace the animdefs.txt in the pack with the one in this zip file:
That should take care of the replacement.
