512x512 skybox. Here's an imgur album link to all the sides. There's no bottom part but that shouldn't be a problem unless you're doing some weird stuff, mirroring the sides vertically might help in that case. I might have a better version soon, I'm still fumbling around with Blender.

I've knocked together a new skyline for doom2 maps based on the contra3 skyline mixed with the doom2 rsky2 assets...

enjoy!

if only there was a sky that would match rsky2's to scroll behind it...

*edit*
version2:

with the central building-top changed to represent the one on the original artwork a bit closer...

oh and this sky to tile behind it:

yes the clouds look a bit over-tiled but its not that noticable behind the buildings and in motion but if someone can do better I'd say please share.
I for one would love to see it done better!

oh heres an ingame shot:

A real nothing of a texture here.

I had reason to take a picture of the rear-view camera in my car with my phone. When looking at the pic, I noticed that there was a sort of interference pattern between the car camera screen and my phone. So I zoomed in on a bit, made it tile (more or less) and got this ugly thing.

However, much to my surprise, on trying it in a map, it can actually look reasonable for small techy highlights and other "minimal use" effects.

Of course. What a perfect use for the eyes. Surprised no one thought of this before now. And it could be used as the basis of an 11-level mapset (opening the eyes one at a time). Cool.

BTW, I also like the choice of using the inverted, 'Nightside' version of the Tree of Life. It IS Doom after all. Nice touch.

Took some pictures of fairly generic looking surfaces today, tiled them and coloured them to be a bit Doomish in colour (though not in the Doom palette).

Rather boring looking office carpet.

Fake granite-looking peg board.
