Cool stuff. The cyber parts in Strife can be quite useful. Here's one I did years ago:

Image
Background is just a screenshot, the shoulders are the governor (I think) and the cyber parts are (obviously) the same as you used. The face is made up from some "face identikit" images that used to be supplied with one of the versions of the really old pixel editing program DPaint (which I think id might have used for some of the Doom work). DPaint was a great program and despite years of searching, I have yet to find a program that does exactly what DPaint did, but for modern file formats and in a modern environment.

[edit]
Meh! Who knows, the faces thing might be of use to someone.
Spoiler:
Some of the hairstyles really betray the age of the image.

That is pretty neat, I could use this a lot, I think. Yeah, the hairstyles are pretty self-describing :)

Who knows how many stupid mismatched faces this has helped generate throughout the years?

I'm cobbling together a sort of test-tube/syringe health bar for a Return to Castle Wolfenstein Nazi-tech type statusbar. Alternatively at this point I could make it more of a Quake 1 style thing with more gothic type decorations on the caps.

View in another tab for better transparency.

Really bad low-res silhouetted trees. Good for cramming in a skybox or off in the distance.

I don't know why links from imgur look screwed up for me... but that's a valid PNG

That's some neat stuff, but where'd the other version of that sky go? It had really nice colours, super smooth and made me feel good.

thanks! permanoob did a stonking remix of it (because he's nice like that)thats even smoother.making mine obsolete. then he went and told me how to do such things in gimp and the result was the new one above! I felt it's closer to the original d2 rsky2 texture more in form as well as colour...

heres the permanoob remix... so smooth! :

Really digging those skies, looks like they'll fit right in a Doom map. Might have to borrow one of these ;)
