Since when do Hydralisks have railguns, anyway?
Re: [Resource] StarCraft 2 Resource Thread
Haha, it's just a placeholder. They do, however, have a green (slime? acid?) plus white (bone spike) attack however.Ethril wrote:Since when do Hydralisks have railguns, anyway?

I'm pretty sure the hydralisks shoot spines, and always have. I can't find my manual to confirm this, however this seems to confirm what I remember.

Hell, it says in game if you hover over the hydralisks attack icon that it's spines.
Re: [Resource] StarCraft 2 Resource Thread
They are spines which are not dissimilar to the quills of a porcupine (the zerg evolved the hydralisk out of a large porcupine like herbivore); they are also poisonous to terrans (at least according to Starcraft: Ghost).
I'm using the SC wiki as a resource.

Note, I'm less concerned about duplicating SC2 balancing than I am in creating a FPS version of each unit that is enjoyable to fight against. For instance, I have maintained the Hydralisks scythe-like claw attack even though it only ever appears in cinematics.
