With a tiny little barrel poking out of the cylinder it could also be a water-cooled machine gun. Although a water-cooled machine gun weighs around a hundred pounds...

No worries -- Doomguy can carry plenty more than that in rockets alone, so a single MG shouldn't give him too much trouble. ;)

Hmm... Doomguy wielding a Maxim would be an interesting sight to behold, at any rate. :P
