[Monsters]Unreleased Stargate TC Monsters
Hi, I've decided to dust down some of my old sprites from an unreleased Stargate TC I made back in the DeHackEd days, most of these are standard warriors, so Don't expect anything overly fancy in the DECORATE, I'm merely submitting these because of the sprite edits. anyway here goes.
Name: Jaffa
Difficulty: Easy
Connections: First Prime
Summon: jaffa
Melee: No
Distance: Disintegrating projectile
Type: Human/Alien
Name: First Prime
Difficulty: Medium
Connections: Jaffa
Summon: jaffa

Submitted: Virtue
Decorate: Virtue
Sounds: Osiris.wad, Stargate SG1, Stargate sounds edited by Virtue
Sprites: Strife, Osiris.wad, Heretic, Doom
Sprite Edit: A mixture of the Acolyte and Rebel from Strife and heads from Doom and Osiris.wad, Edited by Virtue
Idea Base: Unreleased Stargete TC
Description:
The Jaffa are the staple of the Goa'uld; armoured footsoldiers they carry Zat guns capable of disintegrating enemies.
First primes are their sergeants and are twice as tough as Jaffa, plus they rapid fire with their Zat guns.

Sprite Edit: Virtue
Idea Base: Unreleased Stargate TC
Description:
The Serpent Guard are the very elite of the Jaffa warriors, they are armed with the deadly and iconic Staff Weapon that fires explosive energy balls. Their armour isn't that heavy; stay alive and you should take one out pretty easily. They are problematic in groups however.

Name: Kull Warrior

Summon: kullwarrior

Submitted: Virtue
Decorate: Virtue
Sounds: Strife
Sprites: Strife
Sprite Edit: Acolyite and Rebel, custom head

Kull Warriors, some of the fiercest enemies in the galaxy. They are super soldiers bred for combat and shrug off any attacks, only to counter with deadly rapid fire arm cannons. They don't feel pain, their armour is tough and nearly uncrackable (railguns and other piercing weapons won't rip through them), they are a nightmare even encounterd alone.

Is is just me, or are Stargate games, official & unofficial, doomed to fail?

Successful source material is never a reliable indication of quality. Look at Uwe Boll.

Re: [Monsters]Unreleased Stargate TC Monsters
I always wished there was a good Stargate TC for DOOM. Even the DN3D one is, IIRC, basically about Atlantis and the Replicators and not the Gou'ald Lovely to see Kull Warriors in Doom engine format, though - let's see how Demonity copes with those

Mine failed because I couldn't come up with any map ideas, just some architecture designs. The ring platforms and stargate are fully animated and work though.MartinHowe wrote:I always wished there was a good Stargate TC for DOOM
Re: [Monsters]Unreleased Stargate TC Monsters
On the subject of TCs, wasn't there a Star Trek one? I almost want to do something along those lines, once I've cleaned my plate of the stuff I'm currently building...
I fail at nerd; I've never seen an episode of any Stargate series. Neat sprites, though.

Re: [Monsters]Unreleased Stargate TC Monsters
If you're looking for a place to start, it's best to start at the beginning, since the series is so well interconnected, but arguably, the best seasons were SG-1 4-7 and Atlantis 4 and 5.Ceeb wrote:I fail at nerd; I've never seen an episode of any Stargate series.

He achieved greatness, however, with relatively unsuccessful source material. (Postal)Caligari_87 wrote:Successful source material is never a reliable indication of quality. Look at Uwe Boll.

Re: [Monsters]Unreleased Stargate TC Monsters
Thanks, but I sorta have my own as well. Only the warrior has sprites atm, without anything to put them in, never bothered to render the rest.Ben2k9 wrote:be my guest to use these sprites as enemies if you want
