Re: [Sprite] Female Marine
It's what I was using to get some of the green tones without looking too far. It's all the greens in the Doom Pallette.... I think. I guess I forgot to remove it. I suppose you could use it for recoloring, not sure how useful that would be seeing as how it uses the exact same colors as the doomguy...

Right, most spriters I know of try to present themself a palette to work from, like a painter's palette. Of course said spriters try to limit themselves to even fewer colors, but it's still a very handy tool to have set up.Alice Jameson wrote:It's what I was using to get some of the green tones without looking too far. Looks good, but the death sprites looks weird (the blood in particular.)

the death frames are cool, but the blood could be enhanced abit. try taking a look at the doomguys blood.

As an aside, could a version of the death sprites without a weapon be made? It makes it a lot easier to add a new weapon.

In death, it seems most of her body mass moves into her boobs. Each is larger than her helmeted head, and also wider than her hips.

Only if you are a necrophiliac with a breast fixation. In which case I'd advise you to go see a shrink; it's not healthy.

Don't you judge me.Gez wrote:Only if you are a necrophiliac with a breast fixation. In which case I'd advise you to go see a shrink; it's not healthy.
Anyways, that's a nice looking sprite. But yeah, maybe fix up the death animation and such. After that we can make a weaponless version so then me and GD can make versions with different weapons.

Actually, I find pasting it on the Shotgun skin easier than on a weaponless version.Xim wrote:After that we can make a weaponless version so then me and GD can make versions with different weapons.

Re: [Sprite] Female Marine
Sorry for the bump. I finally got around to finishing up my female marine sprite. I think the death frames are a bit better now. Not perfect, but better.
