Re: [Sprite] Cacomental
I thought the anime caco was the Doom 64 pain elemental. It has one mouth on each cheek, just like anime characters.

That could probably be adapted into a unreal gasbag with a good amount of edits.Enjay wrote:IndeedGez wrote:Now that would be very silly.

Nice sprite edits!
For some reason I imagine the PE with the Mancubus arms to be crawling on the ground instead of flying
If done right, this could be quite creepy IMO.

Thanks. Perhaps all that flame-thrower gear is too heavy and it keeps him on the ground. The movement that you suggested reminds me of the FreeDoom Mancubus.Vader wrote:Nice sprite edits!

Unfortunately, I deleted it but I just did a quick "proof of concept". I think that using a Cacodemon, and colouring it brown (like I already did), adding some Pinky arms (again recoloured), cyberdemon horns and doing a bit of original work on the eye (or possibly modifying the invisibility sphere), you can get something that looks like an "unevolved" pain elemental using only Doom resources. It would take a better spriter than me to make it good enough to use in a project but I think it could be possible. Interestingly, some of the pinky arms are quite close to the appearance of the PE arms already. I don't think that any of them are pixel-perfect so it might just be coincidence but, you never know, they could have been a base.

Re: [Sprite] Cacomental
Not so sure about the caco floating thing. I'm sure that... er, "vent" at the back of the Caco and PE must be something to do with the floating mechanism and NeuralStunner seems to have plugged that hole with a Pinkie's body.
Eww! horrible thought. What if the Pinkie's head was rammed up the caco's "vent". That wouldn't be good for either party.

Re: [Sprite] Cacomental
I thought cacos were raspberries that scientists sent through the portals during the first expiriments...

Could be.
