I don't know that I have the bandwidth for that right now. I can't stress enough that my internet is horrible and these bandwidth caps bite my ass.

The lameduke resources have some good stuff. I like the octabrain and coke-cola can sprites. FASTWAY AND MISTACHE midis sound pretty good (arcade good). WATERFAL wav is a beat, lol.

[Textures & Sounds] Deathtrap Dungeon

Post by Zero X. Diamond »

Okay, I will admit that I haven't even played this one. What I do know of it is that it is an Eidos game that came out in 1997, and I remember that the ads for it in gaming mags relied pretty heavily on "LOOK, THERE'S POLYGONAL TITS IN BONDAGE GEAR! PLAY OUR GAME, HORNY NERDS!!" Apparently it's kind of a stinker and I guess in an interview in recent years, the guy who originally wrote the choose your own adventure that it was based off of acknowledged that it was developed by an inexperienced team and that it wasn't very good. What I do know is that I saw some screenshots the other day and knew I had to have the textures. They're really slick. Here, have a sample.

Also included are all the game's sounds converted to .OGG format. They might not be quite as useful, since they all seem to have reverb on them, but hey, somebody will find something to do with them!

hah hah, oh man! I remember this game, played it a lot when I was about ten or eleven. It's pretty much as bad as you said, but it did have some redeeming qualities. I remember the swordplay actually being pretty fun, assuming you could get the game's funky-ass camera to cooperate with you, and it was always entertaining seeing what random piece of polygonal anatomy you could hack off the bad guys.
*EDIT* I just dug through the files and recognized textures that were used for the enemies. I don't know that the models would be worth a shit or if there's even a way to grab them, but did you see anything like that when you cracked it?

I played this game too, it was hard as hell. Very good sounds by the way, the reverb doesn´t bother me at all!

I've had these textures for a while now actually, Never got around to sharing them because organizing it all became a hell of a mess. They can be extracted using a BMS script along with every other resource from the game.

Nothing I could use. There were tons of small .anm and .prt files and one 2 meg or so .bum file.

[Textures & Sounds] Defiance (1997)

Post by Zero X. Diamond »

Here's another rip for you guys! This time it's Defiance. No, not the MMO that just came out this year, the FPS from 1997. More Descent than Duke, you pilot a sort of hovercraft capable of limited flight, taking on hideous alien invaders that threaten the safety of the human race. Once again, this is a rip without sprites (as the game uses models for most things) but the textures are really, really nice. Also included are the sounds, both effects and in-game dialogue. Have some samples!

Downloading! I removed some reverbs from those Deathtrap Dungeon sounds, they were quite useful! :D

[Resources] Bargain Basement Blowout!! (Misc. Rips)

Post by Zero X. Diamond »

People have been hounding me for quite some time about this, and the fact of the matter is that even if my internet is terrible, I guess it was long overdue for me to upload this shit again. So, digging through all of my archives that I've still got at my disposal, you'll all be pleased to know that all but two of my rips have been restored. The two that are still missing are System Shock and the two Doom conversions.

To make up for those, have a bunch of miscellaneous rips that I've had kicking around for quite some time and haven't bothered to post on the forums!!

Quarantine 2! I've had this since the same time as Quarantine, but since these sprites are a lot more useful, I figured I would do something cool and make a custom map using stuff from this one to sort of announce that they were ready. Except... that never happened. So instead of continuing to hoard these, have every sprite and texture from Quarantine 2.
Quarantine 2: Road Warrior Resources

Here we have all the textures and 2D sprites from DeathDrome, a vehicular arena combat game. I wanted them for a personal project, so after getting somebody to crack the simplistic archive format, I wrote a converter to turn the images into something useful.
DeathDrome Resources

For a while, I was making some great headway on extracting the ever elusive Eradicator. While I'm still hung up on a good way of converting the game's sprites to a common image format, I managed to hit it out of the park with the game's textures! All of them can be found in the archive below.
Eradicator Textures

Here's another partial rip of a rather elusive title: Terminator: SKYNET. While most sprites (particularly the weapons) are still a mystery to me, I did manage to rip the entirety of the game's texture files, among which are inexplicably a fairly large supply of static sprites as well. Get those below.
Terminator: SKYNET Textures + Static Sprites

There was a licensed Duke Nukem 3D game for an incredibly obscure handheld system called the Tapwave Zodiac called Duke Nukem Mobile. A little bit of searching got me a copy, and with a little elbow grease and ingenuity, I got the resources out of it. A lot of interesting stuff in here, including a few new enemies and an all-new array of textures. Check them out below.
Duke Nukem Mobile Resources

I haven't been doing much ripping lately, but hopefully this will tide everyone over until I make something else rad come true.
