I got sick of the floppy disk keycard replacements, as last seen in Xim's Duke-inspired mod, so I decided to update them for the 21st centuary.

Re: USB drive keycard replacements
Upgrade? Isn't "upgrading from keycards to floppydisks to usb sticks for the 21st century" a downgrade after all? Nevermind, looking very cool
Re: USB drive keycard replacements
In Doom's native item resolution, a modern USB stick should be less than a pixel.

And a floppy disk shouldn't be any larger than the Doomguy's foot, i.e. 5x5 pixels. Doom already sets the precedent for ridiculous item sizes (a pistol clip as large as the Doomguy's head?) so I have no idea why it's being brought up now.Gez wrote:In Doom's native item resolution, a modern USB stick should be less than a pixel.
These are nice keydrives, and I may consider using them. (Or else I'll go a step further and make them CompactFlash microdrives.)

Can we talk SDCards?
These are actually pretty neat, if not ridiculously huge-like for Doom. Then again, TEXTURES is a good friend... =P

That's a nifty idea.
