Oh and what about the biting?
If I remember right,
Doom 3 zombies also bite when you come too close to them.
Only zombie that doesn't bite is the headless one.
I also remember that sometimes the zombies will carry a wrench.
Or was it only the fat zombie?

Anyway...there's my first sabaoth sprites:

If you don't see the differents of those three sprites,I can say that the differents is only that the tank part's wheels are rolling.
And do anybody know that does the sabaoth a huge swing with it's close-range weapon or does it only stay like the chainsaw zombie?

Dude, try to make the zombies a bit more D3-ish. For example, make the skin slightly tanner. Also, when you said you were gonna make a neck stump zombie, I thought you were gonna try to make the D3 one, with only his lower jaw attached to the neck... You can also try some zombies with the lower jaw missing...


I tried to make the skin tan, but because it's grey it interupts with other tones when recolouring and screws up bad, and the neckstump guy is supposed to have his lower jaw, but it didn't come out well with so little pixels, I also just tried to make a jawless guy but it ended up with it just looking like he has a big red grin, so here's a guy with his face ripped off instead :lol:

@Dulle: That looks really good :D. Sabaoth, from it's animations (I took a look at them in a model viewer) and from what I've seen in YouTube videos, takes a huge swipe with it's claw arm if it get's close enough. I'm not 100% sure how I'll code it, since he never stops moving.

Actually, I've never seen any animations of them biting. Both normal and fat zombies can carry wrenches (and there's a normal zombie with a flashlight), but if there's any real change, it's just a slight damage increase.

@Toenail: Thanks! I'll start on that one today. I should hopefully have it done within an hour or two :D.

Very good, I would add a better flash to the BFG though, perhaps a small BFG blast sprite or something?

thats sexcellent. but the bfg shot lights up the body rather strange. try making it more... light looking and not like green goo

also, your damn fast :D

how did you manage to get the body look so sabaothish? :P

Same here.I don't wish but I'm quite sure that if I cannot finish all sabaoth sprites today,
I can lose the motivation tomorrow.But I aren't 100% sure. :)

Oh cool, looking good :)

You should bulk up the torso where it connects to the tank base though it looks too flimsy at the moment, and of course as IcyTux mentioned the green lighting looks strange

But the green light have to show.
The fire wich comes from sabaoth's bfg doesn't enough.
There must be come also light on it.

Do anybody know how the sabaoth die?

The sprites look very nice, but the color on most of the fleshy part looks mildly cartoony (very minor gripe, still looks good), and the green during the BFG flash doesn't look that good, I'd suggest just putting the flash on the gun, and leave the green off the rest of the sprite. It's not a huge detail, and lowers the quality a little. For the rest of the flash, you could copy it from the BFG marine sprite set.

I'll also take care of all the sounds and coding. I have the sounds all set up already :D.
