I like the new skull effects... kinda has this bizarre, dissonantly geometric look like something out of Lovecraft.

One suggestion about the final death... right now the biggest thing lacking I think is a sense of how immense this thing is, until you see the head gib at the end. Maybe it could sort of slowly crumble at points while other pieces fly off in subsequent internal explosions...
