That last gif with the super shotgun explains how Doomguy is able to get shells from the ground into the weapon so fast.

the pistol-mini-shotgun has actual merit for being used as a serious weapon

I decided to make little tutorial on how to do simple shading on metal.
Please, don't mind the discord screenshots, because i started making that tutorial there and it'd take a lot of time just to post all that again with proper explanations in my opinion.

I hope someone can find it useful.
And don't beat me please if something looks weird or unnatural - i tried to explain that for people, who never tried to learn shading or drawing but want to do spriting.

Nice one! Stuff that this is a case of practice, practice but it's always nice to have a guide for the basics. Maybe we should start a thread (highlights, shading, picking hot or cold color themes, other arty stuff). Thank you for taking the time to make this. :D

Thanks for the tutorials, Sonik. So, forgive me the silly question, but if i understood correctly, you're basically just using airbrushes and drawing straight lines, right?

Yes, You're right, for such basic stuff I use lines and airbrush. There's a lot more shading techniques but they're unnecessary for the most part for weapon's look enhancing

Nice looking M4AR15 Rifle.

Do you have any reloading sprites for this rifle?

Any other angled weapon sprites on the work?

Nice job!

Perhaps, I will continue making Doom Eternal angled weapons
As for other realistic (non sci-fi) looking weapons - no ideas.
I'm more interested in making centered with vanilla graphics stuff

Long time ago i was thinking: "What if there's not enough Doomguy?"
And then i decided to do this:

Do you plan to cover other Doom 3 weapons?
