Where to get Blood Shareware?

Where to get Blood Shareware?

Postby JohnnyTheWolf » Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:21 am

Hi everyone,

I want to try out Blood Shareware with Raze, but unlike Doom Shareware, which is available in .wad format, I can only find installer executables for it, and I cannot get them to work in Windows 10. Does anyone know where I can get the Blood Shareware file?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried using DOSBox to install it?

Is there just not a .GRP file (like Duke Nukem 3D's own shareware) or similar somewhere that I can use?

I have no idea what files you need specifically from the Blood Shareware.

Blood has a weird filesystem that splits up the game data amongst several files, not like Doom with it's WAD format or Duke/SW with the GRP format. Build was weird as it didn't have a standardized filesystem across all games.

Apparently I had at some point extracted this already for my own personal use with Raze. I don't know if it actually works with Raze though, I think it does.

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, it does not appear to work with Raze. :(
