Some questions in general about RAZE

Before I start, first of all, thank you all so very much for making this
I've been looking for a good, proper sourceport for Blood for years, not to say also for Redneck Rampage and Shadow Warrior. Hell, maybe soon enough it will be for Duke Nukem too.
All the other ports, while I deeply respect BuildGDX for starting this trend, they just never got well with me; Bad frames, terrible VSync implementation, terrible mouse movement, missing and broken features, not a good enough of available options...
But with RAZE, I have the most fun I can think of, just like I did with GZDoom. I hope to see this improve over time and that you all have fun doing so as well, it is a great idea and sourceport.

Now to the questions themselves...
Will there be more plans for the Automap? Right now, it feels too "basic", if it's possible to make it have as many options as possible, as in GZDoom itself, that would be great.
Although to be honest, all I ask for is an "am_cheat" like feature, where I can toggle full map on the go. As well as the ability to have Secrets, both unfound and found, painted in a different color.

Will it be possible for RAZE to run big mods in the future? Like Duke Nukem's Alien Armageddon or Blood's No Hope in Sight. That would be fantastic.
(Some kind of "gameplay mod" for Redneck Rampage would be great too.)

About post-process, will there be a "Bloom" feature just like in GZDoom itself? It is actually kind of a nice effect in GZDoom, would be beautiful to see it in Blood with all that TNT explosion.

And a tiny request; can "resurrect" cheat from GZDoom be added to RAZE?

That's all I have, might have more, I'm really enjoying the fluidity of this sourceport.

Bloom can be activated through the console but it won't look good like in GZDoom until the new renderer is implemented.

Regarding the automap, what you get is what these games originally had to offer. Yes, it will eventually get more features, but this really isn't a pressing subject. So you'll have to wait.
To get the full map, type 'allmap' at the console.

Regarding "big mods": No for anything that requires EDuke32. There were good reasons, after all, to go back to an older source base. No Hope in Sight for Blood works - provided you manage to sort out its dirty setup that depends on NBlood. I already made a post about how to go about it in an earlier thread asking about it.

Bloom requires proper 3D geometry. Polymost does not provide that. So new renderer it will be.

Resurrect cheat is a lot more tricky here. We got 4 games, all work differently and not all leave the dead player in a state where this is easily doable.

Can't wait for the new RAZE feature updates, would love to see how that new renderer will be. Alas, I'll be patient and wait, keep up the good work!

In the case of Duke 3D and RR, you can resurrect after death by simply typing in the God Mode cheat.

In RR, you can also use the "pee" keybind to get back up with 2hp and a nasty stain on the crotch of your denims. This is entirely intentional, just undocumented and seemingly unfinished (the command was unlisted in the DOS setup exe!)

My understanding is you can only pee to resurrect once per level. Sorta like getting 10 health from using a toilet in Duke

Another general thing: Does Raze currently support ZScript/shaders? My guess is it doesn't. I tried to use the "Pixelizer" from this thread and it aborts the loading process with some errors. Would have been nice to have.

There is some zscript contained in raze, though it's almost entirely limited to UI only because all the games have much different game architectures. Not sure about user shaders, that may be a new renderer thing.

Ah well, I guess it's still too early for things like that. I was hoping for cross-compatibility of shader mods, but Build uses a different renderer than Doom does, so I guess that was little more than wishful thinking.

It may come later, since there's a planned new backend, the first draft of which was recently sent back to the drawing board.
