Cradle of Fear

Some of the best laughs I've ever had. That and Brain Dead. And Army of Darkness.

I agree with both Lexus and Belial about Cradle Of Fear. It is shitty (horror B movie) and funny. So does Army Of Darkness (clatu verata ni...).

Just for info, if you didn't know, the line "Klaatu barada nikto" comes from an old Sci-fi movie called "The Day the Earth Stood Still". It was about an alien (called Klaatu) who came to Earth to tell us all to behave (basically). He came with a large silver robot called Gort. When Klaatu gat injured, the female lead had to go to the robot and say "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!" Which was a message that effectively meant don't destroy the Earth, go and get Klaatu instead. (At least that's how I remember it.)

Many other films, bands etc have used the reference too. There's even a Star Wars connection - anyone know it?

I liked Day The Earth Stood Still. I knew about Klatuu before AOD and Toys and Star Wars and all the other loser movies and references. :( I'm sad and pathetic.

The Day the Earth Stood Still was a really good film IMO. Really ethical for its time :).

I'd like to see Metropolis and Ersurhead. I'd also like to read the book 1984... that's what year I was born in... Big Lexus is watching!

Gort...

That's how the big robot in KKND was called. Now I know why.
