Amazing realistic lighting effects.

I have seen some Doom mods using some amazing lighting... by this I mean like the green toxic glow of an explosive barrel or candles glowing warmly as if actually lights. How is this being pulled off and how can I emulate it for my game?

Thanks in advance.

Either bloom (a built-in graphics setting) or fake glow via transparent sprites. Combined with dynamic lights, either of these can be pretty convincing.

Thank you. How can I activate Bloom? Is it a part of GZDOOM?

Yes, its under Display Options > OpenGL options (assuming you're using at least the latest stable version).

Hidden Hands, you should stop what you're doing and really look through the gzdoom, builder and wiki also.

To be fair, I can't get those lights to work anyway. At least it doesn't work with my game, anyway.
