"Savegame is from a different level."

So, I got this message and a quitting-to-the-main-menu map crash when I save a game in a specifically map of one of the two mods I'm working on.

What could be causing it? Is it possible to shoot possibilities without the need of uploading the mod itself for analysis? :(

Thanks in advance!

You need to provide actual runnable files. Nobody can debug text and video. Send them privately to the developers if it's a super sekrit project.

It is not "super secret", it is a map for "Mindfuck", a mod I'm working on for a while, there is a thread for it and stuff.

It is, however, 'super big'. It uses lots of lumps I had been collecting along the years that are in old bigger formats (such as .wav, .mp3, and so on). I'll clean up this mess, and convert said lumps to better formats... uh, one day.

I've done a small 'debuging version' once for the same reason in the past, taking out lot of unnecessarily bigger lumps. So, I've made a new one today tohelp people to help me with this bug. It contains only the map that shows the bug, and some stuff to it to work. And it can be seem here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/gdaawkqj2 ... 5022017.7z

I've put just one map, because it is the only one that shows this bug. Having others would just be unnecessarily make the downloading time bigger for the ones that accept to take a look at it.

Anyway, thanks in avdvance. :(

Now the all important question: What version of GZDoom? And what do I have to do to get the error?

Ok: It is "GZDoom g2.3pre-927-gb709db3", and to get the error you need to save the game at map 'rav05' at any point and try to load the saved game.

Get a later version. That one looks right from the time when there were bugs in the savegame code.
