Probably because you and the members of KDiZD are planning to add KDiZD's monsters in the MRW, once it's released, but that's just my guess.

Well, it's planned to stick them into the new build of the MRW (look for the thread by Tormentor) rather than updating the current one AFAIK.

I always imagined this to be a continous project that would be updated with new monsters from time to time.

Since many of KDiZD's monsters are replacements that won't happen. Even though the new ones are better that doesn't mean that the original has to go away. This is a resource WAD after all and the more variety in choice the better.
