Animated Interpics

I read somewhere on here that it's possible to make animated interpics, like the ones in Doom 1. For future reference (I'm not making them at the moment), how do I make them?

I already checked the wiki, and I just checked again just in case I could find it the second time around.

If it's there, a direct link would help.

Errrr... bit stumped... how exactly do I add this to, say, Episode 4 in Ultimate Doom? I wanna add a intermission map screen, like they have for 1-3. I know I can do it but I don't want to screw anything up. The wiki wasn't helping me so I figured I'd ask...

Oooh ooh ooh!
I got the image to show up and... that was it... nothing else, no splats or anything. What did I do wrong?

o_O!!!

You, sir, are GENIUS! Hehe... I've actually had plans to try and create an E4-map myself (E5, too ;P), but you're way ahead of me, it seems! :P

Let me take a look-see...

You have to define a Splat/Pointer image (it doesn't use Doom's regular ones as default). Add these two lines and you're set:
Code: Select allExpand view
SPLAT WISPLAT
POINTER WIURH0 WIURH1

Regarding the image: I really like it but some parts *do* look a little photo-rip-ish. Mind if I were to take a quick shot at "cleaning-up" it? :P

Oh yeah, it's a quick thing, most of those are from video games and movies and shit. Just a real quick thing that looks sorta good. Plus it still needs animation. I didn't make any. I wanted to make the house on fire billow smoke and the volcano looking thing light up when you get there. So if you can fix it up and all that we'll be awesome!

EDIT: Also it seems you can create one of these for every other level as well. Regarding the seperate sects of missions and of course the two secret levels you could make a few of these for Doom 2 as well.

Yeah, intermission pics for Ep4 and Doom2 would be great!

And also, if I may be so bold, for episodes 4 & 5 of Heretic...

In my opinion the wiki should be more specific on how the coordinate system works. I've figured everything else out. My interpic script runs fine. Just that my animations are completely out of place.

Never mind, after little experimenting I think I figured it out, will amend wiki in a few after some testing to see if I'm right.

Damn right triple posts, they're like bumps with content cause no one except me is reading this fuckin' thread. :P

Anyway, amended the wiki, animations and pics have an offset of dead center and four pixels from the bottom, so my new interpic I just made for Xaser's D:TLE is finished... he'll probably not like it even after all my hard work on it. :P

I'll finish up the E4 one when Xaser sends back his updated version.
