My old school version of a Trite
I always thought those things were creepy. I've been busy designing crap that's why i've been away but I've started to focus on the chainsaw dude. The trite was pretty easy to make and his sfx are like a mix from Quake 1, Quake 3, Hexen, Doom 3 and Doom lol. Hexen has some good crunch noises which goes perfect with a nasty hellish bug like this when it dies.

VERY nice, indeed.
THAT I wouldn't mind in my own map.
It's even better than Tormentor's spider, and I thought that was pretty good.

I'm surprised at how well it fits... and you've managed to avoid that awful spindly-not-really-there look that's often a problem with little spider monsters in FPSes...

Pretty nifty. Is the green "blood" oil or some kind of coolant? Seems a little bright. Other than that, very cool little monster. I like it better than the little spiders in Strife.

Dude, how could you look at something like that and not expect goopy glowing lime green blood?

That is cool actually. Beats the hell out of my little spider monster (which might not even be around anymore).

Now all you need is to add a simple BloodCOlor Green, which is a bright green and it will be perfect.
I say it's death crunch is oh-so rewarding.

well this little bastard is certainly kickass, i for one cant wait to fight hordes of these things...
anyway a bit off topic anyone else besides me notice that the trites and ticks in DooM3 resemble facehuggers from alien? im referring to the fact that the trite's and ticks legs look like that of the facehuggers, meaning fingers, long spindly fingers... dammit i gotta watch aliens again thank you very much
