Hmm, I think the fire animation would just be a stream of lighting coming out. The gun could've been just that one frame too.

Here's mine, not so mush of a touch up, but really more of an overhaul. Some details were changed mainly because I couldn't tell it was part of the gun or jpeg artifacts, but a few new details were added. Including a full scale version (from the scan, because lol I didn't reference an established weapon for scale) and a rescaled version (that was referenced from an other weapon) In addition to the bright version (which could be used in regular Doom mods, a darker version is included for Doom 64. Also pickup sprites cuz why the hell not :) Feel free to improve on as you see fit.
*update-had to fix a little detail on the "barrel arm"also adjusted the dark version

I've been thinking... this gun could make a good flamethrower

thats what i was going to say, it looks like a UAC mancubus fireball rifle! the red tube off the side of the gun, seems like it would be a fuel canister.

Here's my effort. A mix of SMIV's and DrD's edits, 75% Dodge overlay in Paint Shop Pro in an attempt to get a bit more of the original shading coming through:

The more I look at this, the more convinced I am that it needs an aspect ratio correction.
