Denied! It was obviously a Doom 64-themed weapon, it didn't need any tweaks whatsoever. =P

The original looks more like something that'd fit in a Wrack-In-Doom mod more than the interesting model-rip gun look of Doom64.

I wonder if someone has the original files hidden in an archive, like former Midway employees.

Tried my hand at giving the weapon a more Doom 64-ish look.

And here's another Doom 64 style gun, an SMG or assault rifle I guess

Getting there with the print rip but the highlight and shadows/dark lines are still too blocky.

Wish we had the original picture :P

Some details were changed mainly because I couldn't tell it was part of the gun or jpeg artifacts, but a few new details were added. Including a full scale version (from the scan, because lol I didn't reference an established weapon for scale) and a rescaled version (that was referenced from an other weapon) In addition to the bright version (which could be used in regular Doom mods, a darker version is included for Doom 64. Also pickup sprites cuz why the hell not :) Feel free to improve on as you see fit.
*update-had to fix a little detail on the "barrel arm"also adjusted the dark version

I've been thinking... this gun could make a good flamethrower
now we are talkin!

freakin love this and just for the sake of it am going to make it into a lightning gun (after all that is what it was right?) seems fitting to bring it back to life properly!

I'm eager to see how the Revenant, Arch-Vile, Spider-Mastermind, Chaingunner would look like Doom 64ized.

Not to mention the PG, SG and SSG reload animations.

Coming soon, Threshold 64!

I'm not kidding, either.

Yours looks the best so far, but still.. I don't know why, but it still seems too shiny. Though maybe putting it in a Doom 64 world, it would work fine.

There would be no need for additional frames I think.. If it's a lighting gun, then just a projectile needs to come out of the gun, simple (just look at Quake's lightning gun).
