Random novelty weapon

Post by LilWhiteMouse »

Demon Dice
http://home.midmaine.com/~lilwhitemo/Demndice.zip
Inspired by Alice's Demon Dice.

DemonDice, slot 8
Summon DemonDiceGiver once for two dice, summon it again to gain the third.
I didn't come up with an ammo type, so it takes 5 health (without armor) instead. Picking up a second die will allow you to roll three dice instead of the initial two. Rolling doubles will result in a hostile imp. If you have three dice, only a triple will result in an enemy, but it's an archvile this time. There is no ready sprite, only one firing frame.
Rolls of 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 will result in a lesser friendly demon.
Rolls of 3, 4, 10, 11, 12 , or 13 will result in a regular friendly demon.
Rolls greated then 13 will summon a greater friendly demon.

[EDIT] I might polish this up and port it over to HQuest 2 as a Heretic player artifact or something.

What is HQuest 2? Some kind of RPG mod?

Owch. Well, I'm sure gonna try this soon after I write some things. Hope you won't mind if I could borrow the headshot thing for a feature, right?

If I didn't want anyone to use something of mine, I wouldn't post it in the first place. As soon as I release something, I consider it public domain.

To date, almost vapourware.

Nice idea but I can't see them being used anywhere, hence the novelty. Also you probably don't care right now and you probably did it in a rush but those barons seriously need a mass adjustment ;)

Alice? There's an actual wad you were planning to put this in or something?

I just had a go at trying to turn them into models for GZdoom so you could see the faces better, but then I remembered I had no idea how to do model animations yet and Doom has no realistic physics so yeah. :P

This is quite nice. A bit too quirky to use regularily, but in some places it really does wonders.

I believe LWM is referring to the game she took them from.
