Well, this is what it says....rest of above is what I copy pasted in the log.

I have tried running this program even with admin ability, it still does this.

Oooh, actually I think I know what this is - right-click on the WAD files in your Source_Wads folder and uncheck the "Read-Only" attribute. For some reason WadSmoosh will not work with the files if it can't write to them, even though it never writes to them.

[edit] Though, this should go without saying: make sure you've made backups of them first!

Interesting, I didn't see this issue testing on my machine, why would it happen on some configs and not others?

I have no clue, but perhaps putting this detail in the guide, just as a "if all else fails, do this", would be helpful...it took me weeks to figure this out >_>

If freedoom 1 & 2 were present, could you smoosh them into a separate freedom_complete.pk3? This would be helpful, they don't need to be part of the mainline doom episodes.

I actually had my own "wadsmoosh" that I did but never shared (it was nowhere near as elegant as this project, though), but I am pretty sure I can freely share its mapinfo with both freedoom wads.

As a note, any coincidence between my mapinfo and this project's is purely coincidental - I never even looked at what this project has/generates.

It's probably a bit glitchy, but it works. Also - "FreeDoom2"'s episode is invisible - but it's there as a fifth episode, and you can select it. It needs an m_epi5 graphic - or just remove the graphic definition from the included mapinfo.

Since Freedoom is free to share, I am probably not violating any copyrights by putting this up pretty much as-is. Feel free to use it as a base and improve upon it. It might need updates down the line, too.

NRFTL is part of Doom 3: BFG Edition. Master Levels appears to only be part of the Doom Classic Complete bundle.

You can get the Master Levels from GOG too!
https://www.gog.com/game/doom_ii_final_doom
The highly anticipated sequel to DOOM, this GOG release brings not only DOOM II, but the expansions, “Master Levels of DOOM” and “Final DOOM”.

Oh holy shit, how am I only just now seeing this? I was trying to do this manually but I could not fucking figure out what textures conflict between Final Doom and the originals. My end result was playable but ugly as sin in places. Is there any chance there's a version that lets you iron man the entire series in chronological order? That was how I set mine up and I would really like to play it that way without all the damned issues I had.

I really like this tool :)

I like it so much that I decided to make some enhancements to support some of my favourite vanilla style community megaWADs, specifically:

- Doom / Doom 2 : The Way ID Did
- Plutonia 2
- Plutonia Revisited Community Project

I've incorporated a really nicely done intermission screen for Doom 1 episode 4 taken from https://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/ ... l-release/.

I've also resolved all of the potential remaining texture clashes between Doom1 and Doom 2. As before, no Doom 2 resources are renamed meaning that any Doom2 maps can be loaded after doom_complete.wad and they'll replace the Hell on Earth levels as normal. Doom1/Plutonia maps, not so much, they would need to go through the texture remapping process or you'll likely hit conflicts.

Adding so much created a problem that there were too many episodes to fit onto the selection screen, so I've kind of butchered it to chain the D1 and DTWID episodes together, so that e.g. E1M8 leads into E2M1. Depending on the resolution you run at, it might not be a good idea to include everything.

My modified version of wadsmoosh is available here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0hVUk ... sp=sharing

It includes all of the non-commercial wads that I've added support for, with project info links in the wads directory. It requires Python 2.7 (not the latest Python). I am too stupid/lazy to create an exe like JPL did so you will need Python 2.7 to try this out.

Any feedback/ideas, let me know. If I've somehow fallen foul of site policy on sharing resources or tampering with other people's stuff, please go easy on me - this is my first post and I've tried to follow the rules. Let me know ASAP and I'll clean up my act.

Issue with that is:
Spoiler: Read me for PL2 and D2TWID
You'll need to supply .txt files with that wad to share. It's a minor thing. Once you've done that, you can edit your post to re-add the link to the download once again. :)

Fair cop - I've tracked down the accompanying TXTs for the WADs I've included, updated my file and reinstated the link.

Anything else, let me know
