So now it's fine again...
There are no recent vintage devbuilds. The test builds are... test builds. But for the legacy ports they are way more conservative since it's an older codebase, something may break of course. PB is very buggy, i think it's still based on the infamous BD v20 becouse Sarge Marko? accused them of stealing his "code".
May be it hangs when you find an infinite loop, i play with BD v21 now (as unbalanced as it is) and for me it LZDoom doesn't crash. Or is it a VM abort?
The latest GZDoom has the new JIT recompiler, in theory stability should be the same.
But if it crashes post a report now, most likely i'll do the release later today. So if someone has something to say... BTW the compatibility additions are in.
One more thing: if xZDoom hangs due to any of those infinite loops it will start leaking memory fast so you need to kill it before your system freezes.

PB is no longer based on BD (especially on the 20B version)

Really? So you mean they've recreated it from scratch? I seriously doubt it.
Edit: i see _mental_ is contributing. May be he could clarify it.

PB removes things that were in BD. They have a new direction. Now they have a new blood system. You can check the new build yourself. https://github.com/pa1nki113r/Project_Brutality

PB is known for crashing and aborting the VM in the past (with a message in the console). Next time post the error you get.

But is it a real crash? Save the report and attach the file.

It's a real crash but the mod is huge. What's the size of the PB pk3? And you get a wall of errors in the console about undefined classes.
