DEHEXTRA bugs

Postby Blue Phoenix » Mon May 03, 2021 7:24 pm

I'm getting strange behaviour when using the extra states

When a weapon state points to an extended range, when selected the weapon it fires and starts shaking. (Seem to work if weapon links to a regular state that then goes to an extended state/ Might only affect select, deselect and ready states)
Weapon in the right room for demonstration.

When a monster's final death frame is in the extended range, -1 duration is not respected and will continue to whatever the next frame is (frame 0 in the demonstration)
Grey imps in the left room for demonstration (when killed they disappear instead of leaveing a corpse)

In addition GZDoom is the only Dehextra supporting source port i know of that doesn't support dropped item, chaingunner looking grenadier for demonstration

things work fine in Eternity Engine, Retro Doom and Crispy Doom.

a lot of DEHEXTRA things were fixed after 4.5.0. If you used that version, please try a recent devbuild.

Tried latest dev build ( gzdoom-x86-g4.6pre-221-gbb58dedff ) and monster death is fixed, but the weapon still freaks out.

It was only the first 16 of these states, preceding #1100, which were incorrect. I'm not sure what the state of these is as they are partially filled with different content by Doom Retro and PrBoom.
