This is what it looks like: The left frog is a mess simply by specifying' RenderStyle Translucent' while the right frog is fine using 'RenderStyle Normal' .

That's a known limitation. For translucent models you have to do full sorting of all polygons of the model. Needless to say, that's a very expensive operation. The render style here will trigger where the model is drawn, translucent means it's in the translucent pas without depth writing, so normal sorting will be disabled.
