Decal Thing does not work on PolyObjects
The "Decal Thing" does not work on PolyObjects ?! I tested the decal thing on the anchor and the start spots both too!?
Strange though is that weapon projectile decals and the 'spray' console command do both work!

Post a runnable sample please.
Re: Decal Thing does not work on PolyObjects
(Bump!) Hello, I just noticed that the decal thing and spray command do not work on 3D floor edges either!

One month without a demo apparently means you are not interested in getting any feedback.
My guess is that this didn't take into account that polyobjects get moved at map startup so once the decal thing tries to do its job the wall is no longer where the thing expects it to be.

Sorry, I didn't know that you needed a demo wad... here is one!

We need a demo for every single report unless it's something that occurs in base Doom and can be tested there, directly.
Re: Decal Thing does not work on PolyObjects
I call bullshit. "Post a runnable sample please" - <OP bumps the thread, ignoring the request> - "Post a runnable sample please" (x2) - "Oops, sorry, I kindly have it here now!".
User received a tempban for this, and many past warnings for similar behavior. (Note: It's fine to disagree, it's how you say it that gets you this treatment) -Rachael

Re: Decal Thing does not work on PolyObjects
Instead of having a knee-jerk reaction, consider that the thread was already closed before the runnable sample was offered.
ZzZombo - you know better than to act like this. You've known way better for a long time now. This would've been just a warning had it been your first offense.

Re: Decal Thing does not work on PolyObjects
So, the decal shows if the thing is placed at the polyobj origin. Good.
This means the only problem on display here is that the decal's placement in the softpoly renderer is wrong.
