Light level rendering of polyobjects below 3d floors

Post by Tormentor667 »

I noticed a rendering problem in certaib light level cases where polyobjects and 3d floors are used at the same time. First a screenshot to demonstrate the problem, below the explanation:

So what do we have here?
I have a main sector that has a light level of 255. In this sector, a polyobject with mid textures is placed. Above the sector with the polyobject, a 3d floor is placed that has a shadow underneath (through the control sector of the 3d floor). Unfortunately the polyobject isn't affected be the lower light level below the 3d floor. It still uses the same light level as the main sector.

Please post a simple map to reproduce the problem.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you set desired light level for the main sector?

The main sector is changing it's light level through a day/night cycle loop. At night it's dark, at daytime it's bright. The house interior shouldn't be affected by that though.

Pushing this out of curiosity. Is my description and demo map clear?

Nagging won't bring you any quicker results if nobody finds the time to investigate.
