Maybe this is intented behavior, I don't know. I've just noted that the sky seem by a camera thing is not show in a camtexture if the line with the camtexture is translucent. The portion of the image corresponding to the sky gets totally traslucent instead.
Just reporting.

Post a small test map please.
Re: Sky/Sky2 not being show in translucent cam texture.
Sure!
This is a excerpt from the map ("MAP01") I was working on. There are a few textures missing, but it does not interfere with the demo. At the "portal" (actually, a cam texture) is shown a Hellish landscape, and the translucency of the line varies from 0 to 255 and then in vice-versa repeteadly. It can be seen that the sky is only drawned in a single tic of this sequence, when the line is fully opaque.

Re: Sky/Sky2 not being show in translucent cam texture.
Sorry for the late response, but this should serve as a good case for how not to design a test map. First, it starts with a cutscene and then leaves the player in an enclosed cubicle. And to top it off the actual bug is just barely perceptible in that demo.
What a demo SHOULD to is to start a map where the first thing a tester sees is the broken effect, and preferably in a way where it isn't obscured by so much visual noise.
