Amongst Chaos is finally going public after 4 years of tweaking, testing, and perfecting I can confidently say that this is a project worth your time.

FEATURING:

3 episodes of 4 nail biting levels! (and 2 secret levels)



17 tried and tested weapons with brand new tips and tricks! (one weapon carried over 7 slots for game balance and to streamline quickswapping)



A whole new bestiary of reworked and reimagined monsters! (not designed with traditional Doom maps in mind)

After all that "perfecting" there are still a "tiny" handful of errors reported on startup with developer mode active:

So many errors that the report is above the character limit for a forum post, so I had to put it them in a text file.

and when I kill the bosses that look like black Strife Inquisitors I get:

Music "BOSS1AMBIENT" not found

And a lot of the weapons seem to have the tag "Replace me you idiot!"

All the above experienced with no additional mods and using the load order specified in the file.

In saying that, it's been quite good fun so far. Pretty tough with all those rapid-fire enemies and I personally don't like weapoons that just die when they run out of ammo (and force me to press the reload buttin rather than just reloading when I press fire again) but, yes, intriguing stuff and interesting voice acting.

PLANNED IMPROVEMENTS

An update will be out soon with fixes for at least some of the errors, and the added tags. Along with a fix or the "ambientboss" music.

Automatic reloads will be added on a later update

Voice acting is done by myself with a crappy mic, I apologize for any unprofessionalism

Hey, yeah I'll fix everything but the massive amount of errors. My apologies. I should have made it clear I meant perfecting in terms of gameplay and NOT in terms of programming prowess. I am mostly self taught and there's a million alpha and beta assets that need removing. Debugging and optimizing is my tomorrow project.

Today I will be removing redundant assets and adding weapon tags. Most of them have the replace me tag via the base weapon I was given via DBThanatos (thanks for the help)

I am happy that despite the mountain of issues you still find the TC fun. At least I'm doing something right.
