I decided to change how the revolver works by making it more similar to an actual revolver, where the action gets cycled as you pull the trigger, resulting in a slower pull compared to a regular pistol (or a single action revolver).
This was also done to compensate the higher damage, the revolver is now highly competent in dealing with stronger foes in the later maps as well, instead of being your usual starting fodder weapon that you never use again after getting the shotgun.

I almost do not use the revolver, only the Over'n'Under or the Auto Shotgun.

Sure... But accuracy doesn't necessarily mean more fun. Just feels overly long for a game.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise for me to discover. Having done multiple 100% playthroughs (except for Super Golden Souls since I couldn't find all big coin guides and such) I was really excited to play this, and I can say it's still just as enjoyable! Actually, slightly more since I'm a sucker for improved animations.

I will add the delay for the Revolver was a bit annoying at first, but I quickly got used to it and currently use it for weak/weakened enemies that are very far away.

Thanks!

I have no other words, saying good things about your work is starting to sound like stating facts instead of giving you a compliment

The alt fire of the spikegun feels too overpowered. It can kill a cyberdemon in seconds and the ammo is plentiful. It trivializes the combat quite a bit and makes the other weapons less interesting to use.

Any hints as to where to find the 21st Golden Soul?

Edit: After revisiting almost every level I finally happened upon

Seems the star accelerator in the tower on MAP19 is busted in gzdoom g4.8pre-52-g2420371c4, g4.8pre-88-gbb8534ed0, as well as the latest stable "official" binary (4.7.1)
It will only launch the player 1300 sumodd units if they hold down the foward key.

Spoiler:

I’ve just tested it out in 4.7.1 and it’s working fine, are you sure you got compatibility flags set to default or zdoom?

By appearance I had zdoom 2.0.63 flags set; had to clear dmflags and dmflags2 then set the mode to zdoom again for the accelerator to start functioning.

Weird. :S

Sounds like I need to clean up my config.
