Currently working on "the trial" too See how feasible the Idea is. If it has any merit at all, then it just might end in a Heroquest in Space megawad for doom and Maybe Even with Some mechanics for xp, level and buying weapons and stuff

WIP Castlemaster level

will be the main feature of a medieval (MID-EVIL?) themed planet

the first map, centered on a prison, will be placed in a 3D urban city building map, the main feature of a very urban heavy but still somewhat primitive planet

the heroquest levels will likely end up in their own wad and then I might make a different dungeon crawl inspired planet level for this project

I decided to add 3D vehicles...

notes so far - moving 3d vehicles:

base concept (inspired by sergeant marks vietdoom):

3 different textures for the treads gives illusion of movement
body and turret are separate models to allow free movement of turret

possible improvements:

front and read lights separate textures with on and off
body separate from tracks to reuse same tracks for all tracked vehicles

planned russ models:

russ frame
Arachnos frame (spider legs instead of tracks)

Mars Pattern turret
Annihilator turret
Conqueror turret
Demolisher turret
Eradicator turret
Executioner turret
Exterminator turret
Incinerator turret
Punisher turret
Vanquisher turret
Atlas turret
Bombard turret
Destroyer turret
Thunderer turret

I am also considering predator and chimera frames

as well as regular vehicles and more

unsure about side sponsors atm since I THINK a tank should be... base plus turret.. no more, no less

inspired by the descent-like game by stopsignal et.al. I decided I want to try and incorporate the 6dof script in to this as well

my plan:

multiple crafts each with a corresponding player class (that can not be selected in the menu) & monsterclass
each craft a switchaBLE decoration that allows a monster or player to use it
global vars to determine if level completed in a craft
figure out how to set a hud for each craft

crafts would be 3d models from free 3d model sites and include models from many universes
