A total conversion mod designed by FailSafe Interactive, it is positively unfinished but what it has so far is promising. The aim of the game is to make it through each level alive. IT CAN be played with other maps, but the enemies act way different than they're vanilla counterparts.
IMPORTANT: Link to the informative YT video with the prealpha info. (We want to keep feedback as close to us as possible so we don't miss anything important before we go public.)
All of the weapons have been redone and have new roles in combat. no weapon is too under powered (except the pistol of course,) and even if you have plenty of ammo, you'll be switching weapons constantly.
The enemy roster is designed to operate like Blood's, they'll kill you repeatedly until you learn how to read and avoid their attack patterns. It'll seem cheap at first I admit, but I promise, the worst is yet to come.
As a result of this, playing on lower difficulties is not shameful, and is actively encouraged for newcomers. Unless your name is Collegia Titanica because I dare him to play on Nightmare, just so I can see him cry like a little baby. (Kidding, I love ya man)
The sprites have been stolen from a few sources, credit will be given. Special shoutout to spriteartists CarrotMaster, MOA Dixon, Clay, Dox778, and Mr. Typical, those dudes are amazing.
I took plenty of resources from Realm 667, but most have been re-coded to fit in the game.
Sound design by, Andrew Hulshult, MarkieMusic, Niko.NET, Mr. Caffeine, and Noah Marini.
Map Design is done by Noah Marini.
Special thanks to The Zombie, Kars, Ultraviolence, and Mr. Icarus.
Guns are numerous and different, they can all do the job, but have situations where they're most effective. handle with care.
Spoiler:
Handgun: Primary fire: fires one bullet. Secondary: fires a burst of three but takes longer in between shots.
Super Shotgun: due to the nature of the game, a regular shotgun is redundant, don't worry, this double barrel makes up for it. Primary: fires a wall of lead at your enemies. reloads hella quickly.
Assault Rifle: Primary: basically the chaingun, Secondary: chaingun with a scope. (Way more useful than it sounds)
Missile Launcher: Primary: Fires a really fast rocket that hits hard. Secondary: fires three homing missiles that hit harder, but have way less splash damage. (This weapon's very very useful.)
Tesla Cannon: Primary: shoots slow but devastating and ammo efficient plasma. Secondary: shoots a massive ricochet burst that wastes enemies.
Napalm Launcher: Primary: fires Napalm that kills hoards of enemies, and probably you too. (Be careful.) Secondary fire fires moar.
BFG 10,000: What do you think it does? It kills small enemies and really hurts bosses if they get hit by the projectile. But that's unlikely, save for oh shit situations not involving massive enemies.
C4: Your character tosses extremely powerful C4 that is likely to kill you until you get good at using it. I hope you've played Blood, god help you if you haven't.
Monsters are almost unfairly designed. But I'll list them below.
Directly replaces monsters:
Spoiler:
Humans now have tracer bullet attacks, too fast to react to, but easier to cheap out by moving. you can also quickly duck under them if you're reaction time is good.
Zombie henchmen act quickly they aren't too dangerous at a distance though,
Shotgunners are assholes, Their bullets spread as you'd expect.
Assault Rifle Dudes aren't too bad for Chaingunner replacements, but they'll still tear you a new one if you're not careful.
Cultists replace the imps, they have more health than the soldiers, but shoot slower projectiles.
Trites replace lost souls, they are grounded and have less health, but have a small hitbox. still a pain in the ass but mostly harmless.
Butchers replace the Demons or Pinkies, they have thick armor and in addition to smashing you they can throw their mace at you.
Shadows replace the Spectres, except shadows can teleport small distances.
Hell Warriors replace, you guessed it, the Hell Knights, they have shields and can shoot homing fireballs at you.
Caco Liches replace Cacodemons, except the Caco Lich can augment it's fireballs to weaken you, or use them like flamethrowers.
Hectabi are like Mancubi, except they can shoot shotgun rounds (tracer) or fusion shots (see Fusion Spider)
Fusion Spiders are Arachnotrons with Fusion shots, or really fast pink plasma that can take a player down extremely quickly. They have less health.
Demon Wizards replace Arch-Viles, they're assholes and need to be nerfed.
Hell Guardians are similar to their vanilla brethren, the Baron of Hell, except tougher, and with bigger fireballs. if you're smart they're still a nonissue.
Fusion Arachnophytes replace spider Masterminds, they have very little health for a boss, but their attack is pure suffering. You guys'll see.
CyberLord let me translate that for you, Cyberdemons that have low key BFG's, I'll work on em'. but they'll be tough.
