Hellshots Golf v1.1 - puttering around

As far removed from running and gunning and shooting demons as you can get.
An experience you can get anywhere else, a mod like you have played before, approved by at least two out of fifteen users.

Works on Zandronum and ZDoom and GZDoom.

Boy I gotta try this ! =O Plus I want to see expansion packs inspired by the best megawads : BTSX, Scythe 2, Ancient Aliens, TUTNT...

I assume it will be perfectly possible to make custom maps using Slade or GZDE ?

Extremely possible. The biggest hurdle is just kind of mentally adjusting from Doom's relatively closed environments to large and wide-open courses.

Well great to hear ! I certainly hope to finally make some Doom maps, and making maps for your mod definitely seems like it would be a great training practice ^^ Gonna try the mod when I come back from vacation for sure ;)

Edit : Would I be wrong to assume, seeing the gameplay video, that the hole can be made as big as you want and in whatever shape you want ? It's just some kind of sector definition or something like that ?

As a nostalgic throwback it would be nice to see a recreation of the courses from NES Golf, all of which also made an appearance in Wii Sports :D

This is correct. It checks for the sector's texture, and if it's HOLFINIS, then it's in the hole.

Mapping's still a-comin' along. 15 maps now. Only need a handful more before we can get a full circuit and do a public release.

Online testing has been coming along smoothly, everything seems to handle pretty well. The camera input tends to get sticky and sometimes needs to be mashed to turn on/off, though. Kind of annoying.

A doom mod without killing anything I'm surprised looking forward to trying this out kinda reminds me of mario golf 64 for obvious reasons lol
