DUBG - 2.0 RC2 (12/03/2020) (fixed links!)

Doomguy's Unknown Battlegrounds

DUBG, currently in v2.0 Release Candidate 2, is a mod that adds a bunch o' weapons to Doom and makes the
experience a bit more varied but without absolutely murdering balance. It has also neat stuff like cars and PvP+PvE glory kills, along with a small filesize, It's also compatible with Heretic, Hexen, Chex Quest and Square.
Additionally it includes 3 maps, 1 is Doom City by Shamus Young albeit modified, and the other two are Ralphis' magical ice forts by, well, Ralphis, and FortressCTF by ZDoomBot Creator. Do note that to play the CTF maps you need to choose team deathmatch, not Capture The Flag.

Remember to bind your keys before playing, and to have a look at the DUBG options menu!
EDIT: Also remember to set the compatibility flag "Send Full Button Info" to on if you are going to play on a map with vehicles, i only now figured out that's why the vehicles freaked out online.

Patch meant for playing with SSZDoom (split-screen ZDoom) with it, in an Xbox 360 controller LT throws grenades, and A reloads and is also the "use" button. Using other controllers requires X360CE.

When Battle Royale games started blowing up, and someone made a BR map for CS:GO I was like "Why do I have a feeling that Doom will get it's own Battlegrounds too?"
I'm not into BR myself but this sounds interesting, good luck

When you get in/out of a vehicle it resets your health and armor to their default levels

(this is old and isn't true anymore)

Like my other mod, Skullag Emulation, development will be frozen, bla bla bla, i don't have time, bla bla bla.

For this one, though, i'm going to release a last update that was supposed to come out much earlier but i completely forgot to upload it and fix a critical bug before doing so, whoops!

(I still didn't merge DUBG-Sprays and DUBG-Splitscreen with the main pk3)

I may add support for them, but i won't add them into the mod. (unless you are joking) there are Grenades in the mod already, though, they sometimes spawn over health bonuses, and you have to bind a key to them.

EDIT: DUBG-Splitscreen.pk3 is back, and it maps reloading to the "use" button and grenades to the "speed/run" button, meant for SSZDoom (Remember to disable freelook when playing with it!)

I really want to change the name of this mod so as to make it more unique, does anyone have any ideas?

A new, big update (Along with a name change) is coming, and is inching closer every day, if anyone wants to see something fixed or changed about this mod, now's the time to voice it!

Yeah, but in Delta Touch, Zandronum is also supported and those bots are better so i recommend playing that instead.

Oh and yeah i'm still making the update, slow but never stopped. There's a name change too, but i'm going to reveal it when the new update is here.

EDIT: I forgot, Alpha 6 has already been released. It has a few bug fixes and a new rocket launcher that's less bad. https://zandronum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=9493
Do note that isn't the big update i was talking about, but still recommend updating.

Updated! This update is kinda sorta old, and it isn't the very large update i was talking about.

It's mostly rebalances, the Rocket Launcher got completely replaced and minor bug fixes.

2.0 RC1 is here. Not AS huge as i was going to do it, however there's still a large amount of improvements, additions and changes.

Many weapons recieved a rebalance, some got improved animations and sprites, there's a new bolognese gore patch with the ability to glorykill monsters, added a chainsaw with a kinda cool pickup animation, added various graphical effects, and fixed various bugs.
