That looks WAY better than the other ones.


Try something like this. It can give pretty good results.
You'll probably need to tweak it a little to make it look good.

Hey man I'm no artist, but I do know that when it comes to sprites that simple designs with simple details tend to work better. So yeah, don't worry about losing some of the finer details, you have a much lower-resolution canvas to work with so there are some things that will have to be left out.

Focus on having the basic shapes of the mech come through, or else you'll end up with a fuzzy nondescript mess.

Yeah, plus it's going to be down-scaled ingame so details like antennae usually become obsolete.

I need a way to remove the bright white highlights in the compositor.

New Locust:

LCT-1V (although this one has two medium lasers for symmetrical looks. animation frames for single laser firing are included).
